Veneno (aka Alejandro Ferrer) is one of Argentina’s new musical promises.
Being born in a very musical family (his dad is a guitarist, and his brother Arcade, an avid producer and key contributor to Etoro Records) Veneno felt music was something he’d be dedicating his life to, currently he is doing advance studies at the Buenos Aires Music Conservatory.
His debut EP Plata Plata sounds just like his artist name (Veneno means venom in spanish); infectious. Repetitive yet not monotonous. Electronic but massively organic. We bet the catchy bass guitar riff is gonna have you tapping the floor. The whole thing sounds like a sound experiment, mixing recordings from his family at home in Buenos Aires, clocks, and even a cash register. All lined up to make a funky and groovy banger.
The second track on this EP is a remix by his brother Arcade, who injects the house treatment into this family affair. Having lived in London for the past 3 years Arcade shows his incredible talent on this rmx. The influence of the current UK house, the steady and relentless beat all encapsulated with the atmospheric sounds. Modern yet it sounds like a classic house tune.
Frank Agrario is the Moniker of Francesco Brini, dj and producer from Bologna (Italy) who most people know for his work with Swayzak (k7!) and Pinktronix (IRMA). On his mix Agrario mutates Pata Plata into a disco house never ending oddyssey.
